Open/Close Sensor

Radio-Tech’s Open/Close sensor is a wireless contact sensor that detects and reports the opening and closing of a window or door. This clever technology is perfect for monitoring building performance as well as being adapted for other applications to help reduce energy consumption through lose of heat.

The sensor, which comprises a transmitter and a separate magnetic contact, is designed to monitor every time a window is opened or closed within the property. Then transmits that information to the RT:Wi5 data hub, along with a cumulative counter of the number of closures.

A transmission of the status also occurs every 5 minutes. This information can be automatically upload data at pre-defined intervals to any 3rd party monitoring software or to Radio-Tech’s asset management and billing system, GlobalNet.

Simply mount the sensor on to the window or door frame and it will automatically start monitoring making it extremely easy to use. The Open/Close Sensor is also compatible with other Radio-Tech 434 systems. This would mean no other costs as another data hub or receiver would not be required.
