SMART Log
SMART Log provides an innovative and feature rich automatic meter reading solution for the water industry. Developed by our sister company Radio Tech, SMART Log counts and stores the pulses or flow rate from a meter or turbine and transmits this information at 2 second intervals to enable rapid drive by download speeds. Even when positioned underground in a meter pit or boundary box, data can be quickly downloaded via a secure wireless link by a moving vehicle up to 100m away.
SMART Log makes meter reading easy as no direct access to the meter is required. Furthermore, the unit can be used to produce accurate customer billing, monitor customer side leakage, enforce drought restrictions, apply rising block and / or seasonal tarrifs and detect meter fraud.
Data download is fast and efficient. A one month profile at 30 minute intervals can be wirelessly downloaded in 2-3 seconds, thereby significantly reducing the “per meter cost” of meter reading and effectively removing the need for estimated bills forever.
User friendly SMART Patrol PC software enables the meter reader to plot his route and allows for the installation of new devices in the field. Colour coded progress indicator bars maximise download efficiency and consumption information received is analysed and processed.
